Just saw Star Wars. I’ll blog on it at length soon, I’m sure, but I couldn’t wait to share this (relatively minor spoiler):

Rey has been abandoned by her family but insists they will return for her. She has to decide whether to go help save the galaxy or return to her home and continue waiting for them.

A wise old woman tells her: “The belonging you seek is not behind you. It lies ahead.”

That’s a lesson we also need to learn. Merry Christmas.
